Achilles Tenderloin These are gorgeous songs. I'm already hooked and it's only April! I'm excited to hear more great additions in the months to come. Keep up the good work, Daniel :) Favorite track: Saddest City in the USA (March).

Chongy G Greetings from Istanbul! I was travelling a lot this summer, and "Celebratin' Death" was the song that sent me on my way.
One of the countries I visited was Albania, Mother Teresa's home country. The airport and some sites are named after her, and I kept in mind your reference to her struggle and indefatigable courage.
It's cool that you perform and record so often with Turkish musicians. I really enjoy music from Asia Minor, Turkish and Greek (rebetika). Keep up the good work!

God bless,
Jonathan of Boston

Now some of us we pray things, and others we just say things, and most of us don't do anything while the fire rains down upon our heads Now it's a black and white thing, and it's a wrong and right thing, and that man didn't do anything wrong and the fire rained down on his head There's no need to take him down and put him in the ground All he ever wanted was to go back to his family There's no need to take him down and put him in the ground All he ever wanted was to go back home Now the world it has its liars, and the world it has its criers, and sometime they make up the rules and the fire's gonna rain down on their heads Silence isn't just silence, when it turns to violence, and we ain't gonna be quiet, and the fire's gonna rain down on your head There's no need to take him down and put him in the ground All he ever wanted was to go back to his family There's no need to take him down and put him in the ground All he ever wanted was to go back home There's no need to take him down and put him in the ground All he ever wanted was to go back to his family There's no need to take him down and put him in the ground All he ever wanted was to go back home All he ever wanted was to go back home All he ever wanted was to go back home

25 years of your rock and roll 25 years and you've got my soul Between the two of us we make a whole You've got to do what you've gotta do To survive And rolling stones they roam and roam And love is gonna find them and bring 'em home And rolling stones they roam and roam And love is gonna find them and bring 'em home 25 years of your fire and ice Day and night and your advice 25 years and it's been so nice You've got to say what you've gotta say To survive And rolling stones they roam and roam And love is gonna find them and bring 'em home And rolling stones they roam and roam And love is gonna find them and bring 'em home 25 years well that ain't so long My folks went 50 and they're going strong So here's to 50 more that go on and on You've got to be what you've gotta be To survive And rolling stones they roam and roam And love is gonna find them and bring 'em home And rolling stones they roam and roam And love is gonna find them and bring 'em home Well love is gonna get you, love is gonna get you Love is gonna get you and bring you home Love is gonna get you, love is gonna get you Love is gonna get you and bring you home

I'm gonna need a witness There are so many things to share Memories are more vivid when there's someone around Someone who's almost always there I'm gonna need forgiveness For all the mistakes I make For trouble, heartache, struggle and pain Forgive me, forgive me, for all that I take I'm gonna need a friendship Someone who'll listen in Tell me stories and I'll tell you mine Time after time after time after time I'm gonna need some truth In a world that just don't seem right Show me what's good, show me what's not And when it's all stripped away just what have we got And I'm gonna need you honey When the nights get cold and long When we take to the highway or take to the sea I'll be there for you and you'll be there for me

There's a man walking up and down my street Pushing a wheelchair, dragging his feet And the wheelchair's empty and he's not okay It's the saddest city in the USA This ain't speculation, it's a fact 90,000 people nearly cut in half Every second job taken away From the saddest city in the USA We've got a shopping mall where no one shops We've got a downtown where no one walks We've got old timers who talk of the day Before the saddest city in the USA On the outskirts of town we've got a lake And swimming there is another risk you take 'cause the water's poison is what the papers say In the saddest city in the USA But there's a beauty in sadness, a beauty in grit A beauty in something that just won't quit A beauty in people who are bound to stay In the saddest city in the USA And that man still walks up and down my street Pushing a wheelchair, dragging his feet The wheelchair's empty, just another day In the saddest city in the USA

There's a house in a tree, that's where you would find me Looking up dreaming dreams, looking down scheming schemes And the sun doesn't shine now in the same way And the moon doesn't rise now in the same way There's a swing facing West, we'd watch the days go to rest Talk our dreams. make our plans. watch the sky, understand And the sun doesn't shine now in the same way And the moon doesn't rise now in the same way They came from China or Japan, either way, a foreign land Their emerald was beautiful, you gave them life and they took your soul And the sun doesn't shine now in the same way And the moon doesn't rise now in the same way There's a fire and you are there, then you're gone into the air One last whisper, one last breath, one last roar upon your death And the sun doesn't shine now in the same way And the moon doesn't rise now in the same way And the sun doesn't shine now in the same way And the moon doesn't rise now in the same way In the same way In the same way

When we first met my heart was pounding I could barely speak your name And you asked where I was going we didn't think it'd end in fame When I set off across the ocean you always took me at my word And now I wonder if you're crying at all the news you've heard Oh to be sailing in the harbor To be soaking in the sun Oh to be dreaming of tomorrow But tomorrow I'll be gone When they stopped me my heart was pounding I could barely speak my name And I told them I was sorry and I hung my head in shame All is needed was some money and I never meant to die If I'd known that they'd kill me then I never would have tried Oh to be sailing in the harbor To be soaking in the sun Oh to be dreaming of tomorrow But tomorrow I'll be gone Now tonight my heart is pounding and they've lit candles in my name It's like the pages of a story except it's me that's gonna hang When I set off across the ocean you always took me at my word And now I wonder if you're crying at all the news you've heard Oh to be sailing in the harbor To be soaking in the sun Oh to be dreaming of tomorrow But tomorrow I'll be gone

Your memory is fading, fading away into the night, the night of day And there's nobody here, but then they come In from the cold, and then they're gone And little by little I guess I'm coming home Your memory is fading, fading away into the night, the night of day They say Spring is here and it makes them glad But the only thing I feel is sad, to try to remember the last Spring we had I'm coming home, I'm coming home Your memory is fading, fading away into the night, the night of day And everyone here says they're a friend But all of their faces seem to grow dim I guess that it ends about how it begins I'm coming home, I'm coming home Your memory is fading, fading away into the night, the night of day And now you are here and you are mine And I wanna hold you to the end of time I always love it how you ease my mind I'm coming home, I'm coming home

(This song is so raw these lyrics are subject to change!) No more searching your soul when that last train comes Or digging in the soil you've gotta get on board No more waiting for the rain when that last train comes Or calling out your name you've gotta get on board No more staring up in the night when that last train comes Or waiting for the light l you've gotta get on board No more walking all alone when that last train comes Or searching for a home you've gotta get on board
9.
I need something to change deep inside of you I know every human is broken into two And some mountains will kill you And oceans are just so big, and deserts will run you dry When the mind's in a million places There's a distance with all familiar faces And if this ever changes you'll be the first to know When the mind gets twisted around Down is up and up is down And every thought is a burden it's not as easy as Letting them go And this is what scares me, the thought to disappear Is the only thought that seems a little more clear Would we slip into heaven, or slide into hell Or go back to the way it was before When the mind's in a million places There's a distance with all familiar faces And if this ever changes you'll be the first to know When the mind starts drifting away Day is night and night is day Every thought is a burden it's not as easy as Letting them go I heard mother Teresa seemed to lose her way And yet she lived as if all were okay Oh father Abraham I still can't understand If you would have killed your own When the mind's in a million places There's a distance with all familiar faces And if this ever changes you'll be the first to know When the mind gets twisted around Down is up and up is down And every thought is a burden it's not as easy as Letting you go

Are you my enemy are you friend to me A desert or the promised land Is it my destiny to be in misery Or will you show me the way It’s time to pray for my deliverance Will I make it in the end One of God’s creatures trying to start again I didn’t think I’d ever see the place you’re taking me A place where appetites never die And in a twisted way maybe I was meant to stay I the place where it all begins It’s time to pray for my deliverance Will I make it in the end One of God’s creatures trying to start again And if I walk away live to see another day Would you believe me if I told you I used to be a man, used to have some land Now I’m a number to you It’s time to pray for my deliverance Will I make it in the end One of God’s creatures trying to start again

There's a valley that we've been walking through and it seems to never, ever end And the thought of being here without you is darker than the night There's a river and the other side is so far, far away And without you I just wanna hide away from the night Without you would I be dreaming of a place where the sun still shines And without you would I be breathing would I make it through the night There's a storm and it keeps raging on and the clouds roll in one by one And without you would I still be strong would I make it through the night

The wolves and the critters come out when the sun goes down If you don't go to sleep you ain't gonna hear a sound So hush little darlin' lay down your sweet head You ain't no good to me if you are dead The wolves and the critters come out when the sky goes black If you don't go to sleep there's no coming back So hush little darlin' lay down your sweet head You ain't no good to me if you are dead The wolves and the critters come out when the moon is bright If you don't go to sleep you ain't gonna see no light So hush little darlin' lay down your sweet head You ain't no good to me if you are dead So hush little darlin' lay down your sweet head You ain't no good to me if you are dead

Candles and Christmas lights Singing carols on starry nights It's a season to give and celebrate But peace is still in pieces on the earth That's full of men's will to take more Than they give before it's too late And I'm singing Merry Christmas Another year is leaving us Just like Grandma did in the Fall Happy New Year Welcome to an older age Resolutions don't resolve I've got loved ones in my living room And loved ones in my memories But voices from the past are in my head And the past once held the future But the future's now the present And it's different than I thought And I'm here instead Singing Merry Christmas Another year is leaving us Just like Grandma did in the Fall Happy New Year Welcome to an older age Resolutions don't resolve Happy, happy, happy holidays Happy, happy, happy holidays Happy, happy, happy holidays Merry Christmas Another year is leaving us Just like Grandma did in the Fall Happy New Year Welcome to an older age Resolutions don't resolve
