In early February of 2023, Norfolk Southern crashed one of their trains in little East Palestine, Ohio. This story dominated the news cycles a few weeks after this misfortune when the public found out that the company burned up a bunch of chemicals and sent them into the sky. The smoke moved to the north and east across the planet, and folks couldn't help buy notice, (including some of my family in Montreal.)

Therefore, I wrote this song, which also happened to be the first song that I wrote on the upright bass.
